The Owners  of Merritt Speedway  Rod & Johnna Ancel ,along with new co-owner Rick Ancel  are proud to announce several changes for the up and coming season.

1.  We are very excitied about  a new employee coming aboard,      Al Lardie. .  Al is   very excited about coming to Merritt Speedway. He will be helping out Leo Pego (Cheif)  in the tower as well as helping with advertising.  WELCOME  (thanks Leo for being so open minded, the fans are going to love this)

2.  Merritt Speedway will be  UMP Sanctioned  for the 2009 race season for Late Models and Modifieds.  (Please Stand  By  for the rest of the classes).

     a.Both , American Racer and Hoosiers will be allowed  to  run for the 2009 race season.   To receive UMP points though, you will have to change over to Hoosiers by July 1st.   We will be going with only one compound, ( please stand by as we have not decided for the  Late Models ,either  to go with 30's  or 40's ?? )  Please email me at rodancel@merritt-speedway.com with your thoughts on which one to go with as I try to make the decision based on what the drivers would prefer.  As of now Mods will be on the A.) 

3. Along with the other exciting classes  SUPER LATE MODELS, MODIFIEDS, & PRO-TRUCKS, this year we will be running street stocks plus the sportsmans class. Please contact Rod at either 989-737-0764 or 231-328-4351 or by email for more info on these two classes. 

4. Super Late Model Best of Best Series
