Rod Ancel Unanimously Voted to MSPA Board of Directors

The Michigan Speedway Promoters Association (MSPA) held its annual spring meeting in Lansing, Michigan on March 19th, 2009. After reviewing the fall meeting minutes and financials the first order of business was to elect a board of directors. Rod Ancel of Merritt Speedway was nominated to fill one of two seats for dirt track representation and received a unanimous vote from the members on hand to fill the seat. Rod’s insight and years of experience in the dirt track industry make him a valued addition to the MSPA board. Congratulations to Rod and Merritt Speedway on your new appointment.

The MSPA consists of twenty three dirt and asphalt race tracks and twenty one associate members. Twice a year the members convene to discuss a variety of issues facing short track racing in the state of Michigan. Legal, legislative, insurance and safety are just a few of the issues discussed this past March. Members also exchange ideas to bring the fans the best value for their entertainment dollar.
